Late raspberry summer at Les Gens Heureux
A few weeks ago we contributed to the dessert for the private opening of the new and current exhibition Fresh Fruit at the Copenhagen based contemporary art gallery Les Gens Heureux. We collaborated on the dessert with the talented and ‘green minded’ chef Frederik Bille Brahe (Atelier September Café) who created a wonderful community dinner from best of seasons magnificent market fresh produce, prepared in all it’s simplicity and served on big serving plates, ensuring that dinner had that intimate family and friends feeling.
The Unique Dessert
Frederik created a dessert that matched the theme and garden setting to perfection, using our rose hip raspberry sorbet, a seasonal right and very current choice at the time. He created a simple lemon crème as the ground base layer, placing the sorbet elegantly on top and finally added a signature edge with fresh thinly sliced lovage leaves - indeed squeezing and embracing last of summers incredible produce by uniting everything in to this fresh, bold and beautiful dessert serving.
We really love contributing to the creative art scene whenever the theme is right and mutual hearts are aligned. This evening and that serving was just the right alignment; a late summer dinner featuring our rose hip raspberry sorbet interpreted from a chef who’s work we deeply admire and are inspired by, in a space with a beautiful table setting where everything complimented each other, with the eclectic playful and color infused yet minimalistic patterns from the works on show.
The exhibition brings together new paintings by Israeli artist Guy Yanai and Matthew Feyld from Canada, and ceramics and sculptures by Los Angeles based American artist Peter Shire. Exhibition period is September 12th - October 23rd 2015 at Les Gens Heureux, Store Strandstræde 19 5. 1255 Copenhagen, Denmark. More information at http://www.lesgensheureux.com.
